I'm Mathijs Voordenberg, a communication & creative strategist with 15 years of experience. My work happens almost always inside organisations: with employees, leaders and stakeholders going through change. Strategy, story and behavioural change come together there.
My approach has its roots in a previous life in storytelling. I started my career in film and later founded Studio Voordenberg, a storytelling agency where I worked on branding, employer branding and editorial content for organisations like the Anne Frank House and ABN AMRO. That's where I learned that the strongest stories aren't the prettiest. They're the most honest. That principle runs through all of my work since.
These days, I work mostly in the field of internal communications, change communications and creative strategy. For Syngenta, Sysmex Europe, Abbott and Bauer Media Group I help organisations land major transitions, not just by writing strategy but by finding the right story and translating it into concepts that actually move people.
I work on a project basis or embedded in a team, for mid-sized organisations and in the public sector. Alongside my freelance work, I'm a partner at COSYN, a specialised consultancy for tech change. When a challenge calls for a team and a methodology, I work there with colleagues. When a challenge calls for a senior strategist on their own, I'm available freelance.
